Top 5 European Football League’s Betting Action 07-08 March 2020 Including The Manchester Derby

Major leagues across the globe resume this weekend for another round of matches. Unfortunately, Serie A matches will be played behind closed doors after Italy’s Sports Minister stated to reporters on Wednesday due to the coronavirus epidemic. After Liverpool and Barcelona defeat last weekend, who will make the headlines?

Premier League: Manchester United v Manchester City. Sunday 08 March 16:30

The Citizens take on their fiercest rivals this weekend as they travel 4 miles to Old Trafford, the home of Manchester United. Every time these two have met the game has always been very eventful, from Balotellis’s ‘why always me’ celebration to Rooney’s overhead kick, except nothing short of great skill and passion in the upcoming fixture.

Unfortunately, Guardiola will be without some of his key players, Kevin De Bruyne picked up a back injury in that FA Cup match against Sheffield Wednesday. Manchester United will be missing their top goalscorer this season, Marcus Rashford, who has not played since that back injury in mid-January in their fifth-round replay against Wolves.

La Liga: Barcelona v Real Sociedad. Saturday 07 March 17:30

Round 27 in the La Liga will see second-placed Barcelona host Real Sociedad at the Nou Camp on Saturday 07.03.2020. Despite their poor run at the Nou Camp, the visitors will be no pushovers after recording five out of 5 wins in their last La Liga encounters.

Both squads have no fresh injury setbacks but will be missing key players who have been out for a while. Barcelona will be miss Luis Suarez (knee injury) and Dembele (thigh injury) while Real Sociedad will be without Illaramendi who suffered a broken ankle in August.

Setién will expect goals from Messi, who is La Liga’s top scorer with 18 goals after looking out of sorts during their defeat to Real Madrid. Barcelona’s new signing Braithwaite is expected to make a home debut and probably get his first goal for the club. Brazilian Willian who has 8 goals so far in this campaign will spearhead La Real’s attack.

Serie A: Atalanta BC v SS Lazio

This match has the potential to produce fireworks with two teams who are currently on form in the Serie A division. Atalanta, who are currently fourth, will host Serie A leaders at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza. In their last 5 visits here, Lazio has won twice, lost twice and drawn once.

Gasperini’s defence will have to be organized as they come against the most lethal striker in the Serie A, Ciro Immobile, who has so far bagged 27 goals. Unfortunately, Lazio could miss the services of midfielder Lucas Leiva who will undergo a scan on a knee problem while Atalanta’s Berat Djimsiti has still not recovered from a hip injury sustained during their champions league win against Valencia.

Bundesliga: Borussia Mönchengladbach v Borussia Dortmund. Saturday 07 March 17:30

German football fans have dubbed this match the ‘battle of the borrusias’ as two of the best teams in the German topflight go toe-to-toe. Gladbach (4th), with a game in hand, entertain Dortmund (3rd) at Borussia Park.

On the other hand, BVB has set a new club record of 66 goals at this point in the Bundesliga season. This attacking style of football will have Gladbach worried especially dealing with key players in Dortmund who has perfected this policy, Jadon Sancho (14 goals) and Erling Haaland who has already scored 9 goals in just 7 appearances.

Marco Rose’s side will be impressed by the fact that BVB has conceded more than two-thirds of their goals this season on the road. Since his return from injury, Captain Stindl will be key for them having scored 4 goals in his last three games.

Ligue 1: OGC Nice v AS Monaco. Saturday 07 March 19:00

The home team under coach Patrick Viera will be looking to overturn their draws into wins when they face Monaco after registering six draws in their last 11 matches in Ligue 1. The visitors currently 7th are enjoying a 5 game unbeaten streak with 3 wins and two draws while nice are two places below with 2 point difference.

Striker Kasper Dolberg will be key Viera’s men in attack after scoring 4 goals in their last 3 matches however, his partner in crime Cyprien has been ruled out with a thigh injury. Monaco has Wissam Ben Yedder to bolster their attack having scored 17 goals so far and second-best goal scorer in the league.
