Top 5 European Football League’s Betting Action for the weekend 25/26 September Including Chelsea vs Man City

Europes top football leagues are starting to take shape even though we are only six weeks into the new season. This upcoming weekends fixtures include a repeat of the 20201 Champions League Final where Chelsea will host Manchester City at Stamford Bridge.

The top game in Italy sees Lazio take on city rivals Roma in the Derby Della Capitale. We take a look at the best matches taking place across Europe’s tops leagues.

Premier League: Chelsea vs. Manchester City

Premier League Champions Manchester City will be travel to Stamford Bridge this weekend to meet European Champions Chelsea. Both teams are unbeaten in the league so far this season, Chelsea sit on top of the table, 3 points clear of City.

Thomas Tuchel has Chelsea firing on all cylinders, they have kicked off the season scoring 12 and only conceding 1 goal, putting three past city rivals Tottenham last week. Although the attacking talents of Lukaku, Mount and Havertz have been a pleasure to watch, its defender Thiago Silva who is making the headlines with some outstanding defensive performances. He will be hoping to keep quiet the likes of Grealish, De Bruyne and Sterling and limit their impact on the game.

Guardiola’s City only managed a disappointing draw at home to Southampton in their last outing. Having missed out on signing Harry Kane and Ronaldo and seeing Aguero head to Barcelona, City are missing an out and out striker and rely on the midfield for goals. However, with Foden, Torres, De Bruyne, Sterling and Grealish at their disposal, goals will not be hard to come by and City will be wanting to lay down their title hopes by knocking Chelsea off the top spot this weekend.

As for the bookmakers, they can’t decide between the two teams and see it as a very tight game. Even with home advantage, the bookies are giving a slight advantage to City, with best odds on the draw.

This is the game of the weekend and a ticket for either team to rise up the rankings. Keep an eye out for more exclusive bonuses and offers around this game.

La Liga: Valencia vs. Athletic Club

Valencia will host Athletic Club at the weekend with only one point currently separating the two teams. However, both teams have midweek matches and the points difference will change by then. Athletic Club, still unbeaten this season, have won two of their last four matches and managed to draw against champions Atletico Madrid in their last match. Meanwhile, Valencia were well beaten by Real Madrid this weekend, registering their first loss of the campaign.

Most pundits expect Valencia to pick up the points, playing in front of a strong home crowd. However, Athletic Club is proving to be a hard to beat team this season and they will be looking to carry on their early season form. Valencia are slight favourites with the bookmakers, but there’s not a big difference between the teams.

Serie A: Lazio vs. Roma

Lazio go head to head with fierce rivals Roma at Stadio Olimpico in the Derby Della Capitale. Both teams have had a decent start to the season, Jose Mourinho is enjoying life in Serie, winning 3 out of his first four matches.

Maurizio Sarri is also no stranger to the spotlight, he has Lazio set up as a well-organized team who will be taken the game to Roma in what promises to be an explosive match. There is no clear favourite with the bookies who expect this to be a close match, Roma with a slight edge in the betting odds.

Bundesliga: Monchengladbach vs. Dortmund

Monchengladbach meet third-placed Dortmund in the Bundesliga this weekend looking to kickstart their season after only winning once in their opening five games. Probably not a good time to face Dortmund who are in fine form, winning four from five.

Haaland is unstoppable at the moment with 7 goals and 3 assists in the 2021/22 season already. Jude Bellingham is also picking up a lot of admirers with his outstanding displays so far this season. As is expected, the bookies make Monchengladbach complete outsiders to pick up any points here.

Ligue 1: Marseille vs. Lens

Lens travel to the Stade Vélodrome to meet Marseille on the Southern coast of France. The two teams are just a point apart, with Marseille in second position and Lens sitting in third.

Both teams are unbeaten in the last five games and both will be wanting to keep the gap with PSG to a minimum. Predictions are for a high scoring match, with the betting action in the favour of Marseille.
