Top 5 European Football League’s Betting Action 08-09 February 2020 Including the Milan Derby

This weekend, some of the leading teams in the top European leagues will be battling it out for three points in their next match. Most of the teams have had mixed performances in their campaigns this season so far. As a consequence, no match is less important in the quest for better ranking.

Premier League: Manchester City v West Ham

Manchester City will be hosting West Ham at Etihad on Sunday 9th February. The second-placed hosts plan to use this opportunity to strengthen its second position in the Premiership. Man City is lagging 22 points behind the league leaders Liverpool. Therefore, its focus is not beating Liverpool but defending its position against Leicester City, which is third at 49 points.

On the other hand, West Ham have had a poor campaign, having not won any of their last five matches. Ther are now in position 18 with just one point ahead of Watford. This is a difficult match for them, and they are not likely to come out of Etihad with any points.

La Liga: Real Betis v FC Barcelona

The second-placed Barcelona will be making a trip to Estadio Benito Villamarin in Seville to meet Real Betis. Note that they will not be having Gerard Pique, who was handed a yellow card when the team played Levante over last weekend. Clement Lenglet might hold the centre-back with the help of Samuel Umtiti.

Real Betis are placed 12th with 28 points like 11th placed Osasuna. Their campaign has not been good, as they have only managed one win in the last five games of the season. The last meetings with Real Betis have always leaned on Barcelona’s side with all having great wins. However, Barcelona have had a rather poor performance in away games having lost to Valencia, Athletic and Levante.

Serie A: Inter Milan v AC Milan

Inter Milan are hosting their arch-rivals AC Milan for a Serie A match on Sunday, 9 February. They come into the match after a 2-0 win over Udinese last Sunday. Currently, the team is second in Seria A with 51 points, three points below the leader Juventus and two points ahead of Lazio.

The city rivals, AC Milan, have had mixed fortunes in the season with just 32 points in the last 22 matches. They are tied up with Cagliari and Parma. While Inter Milan are the stronger side in the Milan derby, it is not likely to be an easy game for them. Judging from their last encounters, the match may sway either way or end in a draw.

Bundesliga: Bayern Munich v RB Leipzig

RB Leipzig will be travelling to Allianz Arena to meet their rivals Bayern Munich for a Bundesliga 1 duel. The team is just one point below the hosts with 41 points after 20 games. The last five games have had mixed results in the last five matches, losing once and drawing one. Interestingly, its away form is also faltering, having managed to hit just two wins in the last five away matches.

On the other hand, Bayern Munich has had a rather great season collecting all three points in the last five matches. In their last meetings, the games always end in a draw or with a low margin win by Bayern Munich. This game may end up with a win by the host but with a low margin.

Ligue 1: Paris Saint-Germain v Lyon

Ligue 1 leaders PSG will be hosts in their next game against Lyon on Sunday. The current champions have not lost a league game at home since 25th September 2019 when Stade Reims surprisingly managed to steal the 3 points. Neymar Jr who missed their last game against FC Nantes due to an injury will probably feature in this game which will give a massive boost to Thomas Tuchel’s attack. Lyon, on the other side, had been on a good run of form away from home until this mid-week game which they lost to OGC Nice. With Memphis Depay sidelined due to an injury, the team’s attack will miss one of their most dangerous and creative offensive players. This game will be a massive challenge for Rudi Garcia’s men and they will be lucky to get away with even a point. There is no doubt that PSG are the favourites in this game and all bookmakers odds confirm that.
