Brief History and Interesting facts about bwin

bwin was originally known as Betandwin and was set up in Austria in 1999 and has successfully operated ever since, garnering millions of users since then. In 2011 bwin merged with PartyGaming PLC who had started life in 1997 with Starluck Casino and had built up a solid reputation in the online gambling industry. PartyGaming is also very well known for their PartyPoker site which was one of the very first poker options available online.

At the end of 2015 bwin was acquired by GVC Holdings after successfully winning a bidding war with 888 for over £1 billion. GVC Holdings is based in the Isle of Mann and both the Gibraltar Gambling Commission and the UK Gambling Commission license and regulate bwin to protect users on the site. Today bwin is one of the most recognisable names in the sports betting industry that has built a reputation for their extremely comprehensive sportsbook, competitive prices, and a slick, attractive site.

Players Reviews and Advice Regarding bwin

Feedback from players and review sites of bwin is overwhelmingly positive. Of course like all big, popular gaming sites there are a few cons but nothing major that would put anyone off using the site. There is a lot to like about bwin such as their wagering options – at over 90 sports offering over 30,000 daily bets, there is a huge amount to choose from. Odds aren’t amazing but they consistently hover around the average so there are plenty of money-making opportunities. This massive range of betting options makes bwin one of the UK’s biggest bookmakers. Reviewers have also praised bwin’s live betting options which the company has focused on, as well as the wide range of betting options pre-match and in-play.

bwins software and user interface has also been highly rated by reviewers and users and it is easy to see why. The site is clearly laid out, simple to navigate and it is very easy to place bets. Despite the huge amount of different markets and sports going on, everything is well laid out and finding your preferred betting option is made convenient. This is partly achieved by having in the top left-hand corner the most popular markets of the day placed there. Also, users can create favourite lists of their markets which bwin provides easier access to when the player logs in. This is a favourite feature, and is advised to make use of this function because there are so many markets to choose from you will really save valuable betting time.

Key Factors of bwin To Consider:

Bonuses and Promos

New bwin bonuses and promos are run all the time so the best way to keep up to date with them is to sign up for their newsletter to make sure you are informed of any new ones. Markets and Odds

Markets really are one of bwin’s key selling points boasting one of the largest range of options in the UK. This includes both the number of markets as well as the different sports on offer. When you visit the site, the total number of live markets on offer is listed on the left-hand side of the screen and numbers in the tens of thousands. Though in the myriad of sports that are on offer there is an incredible depth to them. For example, clicking on a specific football match will typically bring up at least 50 different markets for it, then add the in-play markets on top of that. bwin Betting Odds on offer are typically industry average, and it will be hard not to find odds for most sports.

Live Betting

Live betting is a key sportsbook area that bwin has spent a lot of time developing and they offer an excellent live betting experience. There is a live betting portal that specifically offers a wide range of sports for live betting on excellent quality markets. When a user clicks on a game the site provides some video animations so that the feel for the game is displayed, and full stats of the game are available via a handy drop-down menu. Users are confident that they won’t miss out on good value markets when it comes to live betting with bwin as there are dozens of different markets on offer for each game. The site also offers an excellent multi-view option so that users can keep an eye on more than one game at a time.

Maximum and Minimum Betting Limits

Slightly different to other online bookmakers, the maximum betting limits are not listed on the bwin site. When users place bets, however, they will be informed if they are betting more than the maximum limit and then get the chance to alter their wager. It seems as though there is an unofficial per bet maximum of £10,000 and a per week maximum of £100,000 so may not be the site for professional high rollers.

Live Streaming

Live options at bwin are good, and this goes for their live streaming as well. There are a wide variety of sports available to stream with a particular emphasis placed on football. Football fans get latest matches of the week from the English Premier League, German Bundesliga, Italian Serie A, and Spanish Primera Division – among others.

If football isn’t your thing there are plenty of other sports on offer such as ATP Tennis, Ice Hockey, Volleyball, Basketball and many other options. There are around 50 live streamed sports events per day and is perfect for with in-play betting. bwin Live streaming is also available on mobile phones.

Mobile Apps

As the world moves increasingly to mobile to access the internet and for online gambling, so to has bwin kept pace with the change. There are two ways of accessing bwin on your mobile if you are an Android or iOS user and that is via the web app or the downloadable mobile betting app. Both methods give a similar sports betting experience so it is up to the user to decide which method is for them.

Some say the bwin app is a more streamlined experienced and can be downloaded from the App Store for iOS device users, or the Google Play store for Android users. If you do not want to download extra software onto your phone this is not a problem either as the site can be accessed via the web browser on a smartphone. This process can be made even easier by adding the URL address to your home page where it will appear with a B icon.

Payment Methods

bwin have tried to make life easier for users when it comes to financial transactions by offering them a wide range of bookmaker payment options. Debit cards are offered from Maestro, MasterCard and Visa, and Entropay (a pre-paid Visa card). Card deposits are instant and withdrawals take 3-5 days to process. Users of e-wallets are also covered and bwin allows Neteller, PayPal, and Skrill – deposits are instantaneous and withdrawals take up to 25 hours. Bank transfers are an option but they have a minimum limit of £50,000. Other options include Giropay, iDeal, PaySafeCard and POLi.

Pros

Not enough compared with the cons.

Cons

Wouldn\'t recommend it for serious handicappers, not to mention any sorts of high-rollers. I was betting couple of hundreds EUR per game at the most for few months (no arbitrages or any scheme) and then they suddenly restricted my betting maximum to less than 1 EUR. And I was not even winning, I was behind, not big, but in red numbers for sure. I contacted them of course, but didn\'t receive any reasonable explanation for their actions. So just withdrawed the rest from my account and just closed it.
